Membership in the A.I.D

 

Our members include ‘Ordinary’ Qualified Professional and ‘Uncertified’ Professional Members, who are recognised professional dance teachers in the fields of Standard Ballroom, Latin American, New Vogue, and other similar types of partner or social dances, as well as ‘Affiliate’ Members, who are persons and organizations interested in the promotion of excellence in dance or in supporting the art of dance generally.

Who Can Join

 

We welcome as members, all professional dance instructors and all persons interested in the promotion of excellence and supporting the art of dance generally by inviting you to join the AID in the appropriate membership category – either as an ‘Ordinary’ Professional Member, ‘Uncertified’ Professional Member or an ‘Affiliate’ Member.

‘Ordinary’ Professional Members

‘Ordinary’ Professional Members are professional dance teachers in the fields of Standard Ballroom, Latin American, New Vogue and other similar types of competitive, partner or social dances.

‘Uncertified’ Professional Members

‘Uncertified’ Professional Members are Persons who declare themselves to be recognised as professional dance teachers in the fields of Standard Ballroom, Latin American, New Vogue and other similar types of competitive, partner or social dances.

They may be recognized as such by their peers, or may be registered as such with DanceSport Australia.

'Affiliate' Members

Affiliate Members are persons and organizations interested in the promotion of excellence in dance or in supporting the art of dance generally.

Our Constitution and Bylaws permit and welcome anyone interested in the promotion of excellence in dance or in supporting the art of dance to join the AID as an Affiliate Member.
